The main issue: I feel emotionally attached to the tasks and consider completing them despite the routine saying otherwise.
"Just a few minutes, I'll complete this and then meditate or some other important task."
The problem with this is that I feel exhausted getting fixated on a single task.
This exhaustion causes mental confusion. This causes me to do unnecessary and harmful things.
Those things seem to be only solution to the stress the brain has gone through at those times. This is like deliberately injuring yourself and taking some harmful drugs to
relieve the pain.
How do I avoid this? I have to stop when I see myself getting fixated on any task.
I have to get regular breaks to calm my mind and give the brain a break. This is what
routine is for. Make a routine like an adult and follow them like a child.
One of the important things for reseting the brain that I missed yesterday was boredom.
Boredom is very necessary for my mental health. Boredom should be a part of my routine everyday. Also I cannot forget doing physical exercise.
Conclusion: Treat your brain with utmost care.
